Irina Shayk, Kendall Jenner and Zoë Kravitz put their spin on the 'naked' dress at Met Gala 2021
The Met Gala 2021 has spawned some incredible fashion moments, including Kim Kardashian's body (and face!) covering get-up.
But in amongst the outlandish outfits a mini trend has emerged - the 'naked' dress 2.0.
Among the stars offering a fresh take on the are-they-aren't-they? 'naked' look was style queen Zoë Kravitz who brought the dazzling attitude in a bejewelled mesh Yves Saint Laurent number.
The Big Little Lies actor opted for a luxe-look halter chainmail dress made entirely from rhinestones, which was semi-transparent and revealed the star's matching gemstone thong underneath.
Kravitz’s slinky look was slightly more revealing than Kendall Jenner's outfit, who went for a more subtle reboot of the nude dress.

While her older sister decided to completely cover up for the Met Gala, Jenner opted to take things in a totally different direction.
Offering her own spin on the 'naked' dress, the reality TV star and model rocked up in a sheer glittery number designed by Givenchy, for the In America: A Lexicon of Fashion exhibition.
The beautiful transparent dress was embellished with shimmering rhinestones that went to the shoulders and featured a crystal fringe which hung delicately off the star's arms.

The fashion model's modesty was protected by a beige lingerie bodice, which complemented the delicate dress.
While the look was no doubt one of the most daring of the night, there's speculation that there was an unlikely inspiration.

The reality TV star shared a photo of Audrey Hepburn in her iconic, Givenchy-designed My Fair Lady gown to her Instagram story on Monday night, as well as a clip of Hepburn from the film, giving a hint she had turned to the fashion icon for inspo.
Jenner's sparkling dress also featured a diamond choker reminiscent of the one Hepburn wore in the classic 1964 film.
Also sticking to the 'naked' memo was fellow model Irina Shayk.
The supermodel opted for a floral take on the nude look, rocking up to the red carpet in a flesh-tone corset gown by Moschino, which was adorned with delicate multicoloured flowers.
Strategically placed to protect her modesty, the floral embellishment also flowed down the sides of the dress's daring thigh-high split and tumbled down into a train covered with the petals.
Shayk finished the look with nude Stuart Weitzman heels and showcased a short new do.

According to fashion expert Miranda Holder the barely there 'naked dress' look is all about celebrating life, being body-confident and making a style splash.
"The trend started when Marilyn Monroe famously wore a glittering flesh-coloured sheath gown when she sang Happy Birthday Mr President back in 1962," she explains.
"Over the years we have seen various movements to bare nearly all, some of them becoming noteworthy for all the wrong reasons, but this Met Gala showed us how to perfect this look with Zoe Kravitz, Irina Shayk and Kendall Jenner all wearing risqué gowns but looking utterly breathtaking.
"All three ladies looked exquisite, striking that difficult balance between the right levels of drama and showing too much."
It's been quite the week for nude dresses, the Internet is only just recovered from the barely there dress Megan Fox wore to the MTV VMAs.
Sending the internet into overdrive, Fox, 35, arrived at the awards ceremony with boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, 31, in a nude, sheer Mugler dress that featured bursts of shimmering embroidery.
Underneath the delicate fabric, the Transformers star's sparkly silver G-string was visible, with the embellishment matching the swirly detailing on the see-through gown.
Meanwhile Cynthia Erivo, Zendaya and Imaan Hammam have all experimented with barely-there dressing this summer.
Clearly the naked look is the nude fashion in town.
