M&S's 2024 Christmas ad has landed, and it's packed with seriously stylish and affordable partywear

Marks & Spencer's hotly-anticipated Christmas ad is finally here, and it doesn't disappoint in the slightest. In fact, it's one of the most joyous ads we've seen so far this year. This year's instalment is a feast for the eyes, showcasing everything M&S has to offer for the festive season, including standout partywear picks, gorgeous decorations, gifting and homeware.

It begins with the star of the advert, a young girl, looking around at her subdued family and spotting a snow globe across the room, before taking it into her hands and letting the magic unfold before her eyes.

Between baubles cascading down the stair, music blaring and lavish guests dancing, Marks & Spencer debuts its latest collection ready for Christmas, filled with everything from mini dresses dripping in sequins to sparkly blouses and classy stilettos.

In the ad, we get a glimpse of an entire range of stylish yet affordable partywear options, including the ultimate Christmas day dress — this V-Neck Frill Detail Midaxi Smock Dress, £59. Designed in a gorgeous deep red, this floaty smock is ridiculously flattering with its long blouson sleeves, loose cut, and feminine details. Looking a lot more expensive than it actually is, this is the sort of dress you'll not just look great in, but feel great in, too. We're also obsessed with the way M&S has styled it, with a cropped faux fur jacket and knee-high boots.

A silhouette that has proved popular this year is the elevated cardigan. In this case, a blouse-style top that comes fastened with oversized bows for a chic yet festive vibe. Available in sequin ivory and black, we picture this looking great with some wide leg trousers and heels.
