Duchess of Cambridge Twins With Ivanka Trump as She’s Dubbed the New Princess Diana
The Duchess of Cambridge may have stepped foot in Berlin only yesterday, but the royal has already won over the German people.
Kate has earned herself the nickname “Princess of Hearts” after being photographed hugging children at a charity visit on Wednesday.
She has even been likened to her husband’s late mother, Princess Diana, with one newspaper reporting that the photos were “reminiscent of the arm of heart which before Kate only William’s mother, Diana, could radiate.”
Today Kate has earned comparisons to another famous figure: first daughter Ivanka Trump.
The duchess started the fourth day of the royal tour in a bright look that ensured she wouldn’t be missed by anyone in the crowd.
Sporting a summery yellow dress by royal favorite Jenny Packham, Kate was seen arriving with William at the German Cancer Research Centre.
The bespoke design featured a thick brocade fabric and floral embroidery and was teamed with Kate’s preferred comfy shoes — Monsoon espadrille wedges — and Oscar de la Renta earrings.
Just as she has done many times over the course of the past few days, the duchess went down the diplomatic route in her color choice, as yellow is one of Germany’s national colors.
The royal couple will be meeting Nobel Prize winner Dr. Harald zur Hausen, who is famous for discovering the link between the HPV virus and cancer. His research led to the HPV vaccine being given to girls across the globe.
The day will take on a competitive edge when William and Kate take to the River Neckar for a rowing race.
This evening, the royals will leave George and Charlotte at home once again for a grand reception at one of Berlin’s oldest ballrooms.
