Pregnancy number three for the Duchess of Cambridge? Kate jokes about more children on royal tour
Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Poland for the start of the royal tour. Accompanied by their adorable children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the couple were all smiles as they were greeted by the Polish President and his wife.
After several meet and greets, Kate and William were whisked away to meet young Polish entrepreneurs.
As is customary when meeting a royal, Kate was presented with a number of gifts; one more interesting than the others.
One representative from a start-up company gave the Duchess a cuddly toy for newborns, leading to her turning to William and joking: “We will just have to have more babies.”
Despite having a two and three-year-old, it seems Kate may be looking to extend her family. (Or perhaps it was nothing more than a witty remark.)
Several fans also praised the Duchess for her beauty, calling her “perfect”. According to the Daily Mail, she simply replied: “It’s just the make-up.”
Modest as always.
William and Kate’s last engagement of the day was a glamorous cocktail party held in Warsaw’s Lazienki Park.
It was a bold fashion choice for the Duchess as she aimed to please her hosts, wearing an architectural white dress by local Polish designer Gosia Baczyńska.
The custom midi dress included sequinned leaf-like detailing with jagged pleats, leaving the Duchess looking like she had walked straight off the catwalk.
The designer has previously dressed the likes of Halle Berry and has become the go-to name for many of Poland’s wealthiest women.
Opting for a more regal look when it came to her jewels, Kate chose two pearl pieces: huge Balenciaga clip-on earrings and an asymmetrical necklace that had previously been seen on her Paris trip.
The deep V-neckline of her sleeveless dress showed off her jewellery to the max; as did her sophisticated updo.
When it came to footwear, Kate went classic, donning a pair of black suede Gianvito Rossi heels. The pointy-toed shoes were matched by a black Prada box clutch.
Kate stood alongside Prince William at the party hosted by British Ambassador Jonathan Scott as the royal gave a speech to the 600 guests, noting that “Polish is now the second most spoken language in the United Kingdom.”
Today, the couple will visit Stutthof Concentration Camp and meet survivors of the Holocaust. Afterwards, they will travel to Gdansk for a street party and performance at the Shakespeare Theatre.
Our eyes are peeled for the next appearances from George and Charlotte.
