The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins rivalry is one of the best in NFL history.

But a true rivalry requires equality of power and over the last half decade, it has been lopsided and the Bills have dominated.

Buffalo and Miami have played each other twice per year since the 1966 American Football League season. The Dolphins won all 20 games over the Bills in the 1970s but the tables have turned (and been broken).

The Bills host the Dolphins at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Bills are 12-1 in the last 13 head-to-head matchups, including escaping 34-31 at home in the wild card round of the AFC playoffs on Jan. 15, 2023. The Dolphins played with then-third stringer Skylar Thompson starting at quarterback and turned the ball over on downs on its final possession.

Buffalo has outscored Miami 443-248 over the last 13 games.

What happened the last Bills vs. Dolphins game?

The Bills went on the road and bludgeoned the Dolphins 31-10 on Thursday Night Football in Week 2 on Sept. 12, 2024.

James Cook scored three touchdowns on two rushing and one receiving for the Bills. Buffalo intercepted Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa three times in the first half, including a pick six.

Tagovailoa suffered a concussion while crashing into Bills safety Damar Hamlin on as scramble in the third quarter. It was his third official concussion since 2022. There there was speculation the concussion would be career-ending, but Tagovailoa sat out five games and returned in a Week 8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Bills appeared in four straight Super Bowls from 1991-1994 but lost all four.

Yes. Miami is 2-3 in Super Bowls.

The Dolphins won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1972 and 1973. Miami capped a perfect season with a 14-7 victory over the then-Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII. Miami captured its second straight Lombardi Trophy the next year, defeating the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 in Super Bowl VIII.

When was the Dolphins last playoff win?

Miami hasn't won a postseason game since 2000, the longest playoff win drought in the NFL. The Dolphins also have the longest playoff losing streak at six games.
