Renee Zellweger, 50, returns to red carpet in 80s-inspired hot pink mini dress
Renee Zellweger made a grand return to the red carpet last night at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet in Los Angeles, US.
The ‘Bridget Jones’ star is rarely seen at high-profile events these days – her most recent appearance was at the Vanity Fair Oscars party back in February – but her pretty look assured it’s worth the wait.
Zellweger, who recently said she still “feels like a kid” at 50, looked decades younger than her years in a hot pink Lela Rose mini dress with off-the shoulder puffed sleeves. Lela Rose is an American brand which has been worn on multiple occasions by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Zellweger’s 80s inspired look is still available to buy from Moda Operandi for £2,130.
She paired it with a cocktail ring on her index finger and pointed stiletto heels.
Zellweger, who is starring in the upcoming Judy Garland biopic, ‘Judy’, out later this year, played her look down with a loose, low ponytail and minimal makeup.

She has taken something of a backseat from the acting world in recent years, taking a six-year hiatus from acting roll between 2008 and 2015.
"I was fatigued and wasn't taking the time I needed to recover between projects, and it caught up with me [...] I got sick of the sound of my own voice,” she told British Vogue in July 2016.
And even after her acting comeback in 2016’s ‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’, Zellweger has still been notably absence from red carpet events.
But this year she has since made a return into the limelight, recently working a tweed trouser suit at Pride in London 2019, where she posed with London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
Other stars present at last night’s lavish Hollywood do included actor Charlize Theron, who wore a plunge neck black mini dress and ‘Modern Family’ star Sofia Vergeras in a red bodycon dress.
