Princess Beatrice's wedding date and venue announced
Princess Beatrice and her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will get married on May 29, 2020 in St James’ Palace, London.
The Royal Family confirmed the date on Twitter, writing:
“The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020 at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.”
The Duke and Duchess of York’s eldest daughter, 31, will marry her Italian property developer boyfriend, 37, this May after the pair announced their engagement in September.
Unlike other royal weddings, like that of her sister, Princess Beatrice and the Dukes and Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex, Beatrice's nuptials will not be shown on television.
Her sister Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank was broadcast to three million people, but when Princess Beatrice ties the knot the occasion won’t be televised.
It is thought that, due to the controversy surrounding Beatrice’s father Prince Andrew, 59, the event is likely to be held in private.
He was asked to step down from his royal duties as a result of the backlash.

The Queen was understood to have given her blessing for her granddaughter and her fiancé to reveal the exact day for their nuptials early this year.
In December, the couple celebrated their engagement with a party at the Chiltern Firehouse in London.
Guests pictured arriving at the event included Beatrice’s mum Sarah Ferguson, 60, and younger sister, however her father was not present.
In October, it was reported that Beatrice had declined a carriage ride, procession and Windsor castle reception for her wedding.
Before her father’s controversial Newsnight interview, she is said to have told her parents she is in favour of a “low-key” and “casual” reception at a non-royal venue.

Princess Beatrice announced her engagement in September 2019, after the couple had been dating for a year.
The Queen’s granddaughter, who’s ninth-in-line to the throne, celebrated her news with a series of photographs.
May is a popular time for royals to get married, with both the Cambridges and Sussexes choosing the month to tie the knot.
However, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank shunned the royal wedding trend by marrying in October.
