Primark tells customers not to buy its products online
Fans of the discount clothing chain have longed for Primark to launch an online shop and yesterday, we thought our prayers had been answered.
Though it wasn’t quite a Primark e-commerce store, Amazon started selling select items from Primark’s Atmosphere range via third party sellers. As long as you have Prime, you can get the items the very next day, no leaving the house required.
As it turns out, there’s a catch. The prices were higher than in-store, and now Primark has taken the unprecedented step of issuing a statement warning customers against buying its products on Amazon.
It released a statement on Twitter warning customers the store has “no commercial partnership” with Amazon.
We do not have a commercial partnership with Amazon and any Primark products which appear on the site are being re-sold by third parties, at higher prices. We encourage our customers to visit us in our stores to find the best value.

The statement said: “We do not have a commercial partnership with Amazon and any Primark products which appear on the site are being re-sold by third parties, at higher prices. We encourage our customers to visit us in our stores to find the best value.”
The Primark products currently on offer via third-party sellers on Amazon appear to be limited to womenswear and its Disney and Harry Potter merchandise.
The prices the independent sellers are charging are as much as double the original value of the items.
The tweet spurred customers on to demand the budget-chain start up an official online store.
😭 just do an online shop, the stores never have what’s advertised

But if you had an online shopping option it would be helpful for those who for instance can't or are unable to drive? Or doesn't have a Primark near them? Or just hates how horrendously busy Primark is?

Setting up an online store would fix most of your problems but it will most likely ever happen but the least you could do is have an online stock finder to see if the shops near you actually have the stuff you want

Many people were worried that if Primark did decide to have an online presence that the price of the clothing would go up. Its current model has made it one of the few brands spared from the high street consumer crisis.
The company forecast last month revealed that Primark’s sales have risen by as much as 4% during the last financial year. It’s store-only model is proving popular, with a brand new flagship store in Birmingham said to have bolstered its sales.
For now at least, it appears the only place to get your Primark essentials still remains in store.
