Doria Ragland may be a Duchess' mother, but she's still a bargain hunter
She might be the mother of the Duchess of Sussex, but it seems Doria Ragland hasn’t altered her life – or indeed her shopping habits – too significantly.
The 62-year-old yoga instructor was spotted browsing the aisles of budget retailer Target (similar to a mix between Asda and TK Maxx) in Los Angeles on Saturday.
According to reports, Doria kept a low profile as she went about her shopping at the American department store, known for its cut price home furnishings, beauty products and clothing.
An onlooker who spotted Doria was astonished to see the future grandmother of the seventh-in-line to the throne shopping at Target’s Baldwin Hills outlet.
They said: “Target is a middle of the road store and everyone shops there.
“But you don’t expect to see someone connected to the English royal family wandering down the aisles.
“She has a very distinctive look and I immediately recognised her.”
Meghan’s mother was the only member of her family to attend the royal wedding last May and even accompanied the Duchess to the the launch of the Together cookbook she supported with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen.
The Duchess has had no contact with her father Thomas Markle since before she and Harry tied the knot, after he was was caught staging paparazzi photos for money. Meghan is also estranged from her half-siblings, Thomas Markle Jr. and Samantha Markle.
Doria will become a grandmother when Meghan gives birth to her and Harry’s first child in April.
