This season, rising name Liam Hodges broke free from the industry’s trend-driven mindset and delivered a collection designed to offer ‘eternal youth’.
We’re talking the pre-millennium era with references to everything from New Wave to gabba rave.
Nineties television also proved a major influence with models sporting green, gunged locks and Mr Blobby polka dots. Yes, seriously.
While Comic Con also earned a reference in the show with hand-brushed prints emblazoned on shirts aplenty.
And this childlike spirit continued to shine in the footwear department, as Hodges teamed up with cult nineties brand Fila for a second season running.
Yet this time, the Disruptor II sneaker-boot was reimagined for the modern era with a rugged outsole.
But Hodges isn’t the first designer to shake up the stern-faced fashion scene this season, as Charles Jeffrey later threw a tantrum on the runway…
