Kourtney Kardashian praised for not airbrushing stretch marks in swimwear selfie
Kourtney Kardashian is being praised online for sharing an untouched swimsuit shot with her stretch marks proudly on display.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan are often called out for seemingly airbrushing their social media snapshots.
Just recently Khloé and Kylie were accused of photoshopping an image from their recent Koko by Kylie Cosmetics campaign.
But it seems the eldest of the Kardashian sibling clan has turned her back on the endless strive for unachievable perfection after sharing an image that hasn’t been digitally altered.
Kourtney, 40, took to social media to share a photo of herself wearing a cut-away black swimsuit kneeling on board a boat, with the silvery stretch marks on her upper thigh clearly visible.
Since sharing the un-retouched shot fans of the mum-of-three were quick to thank the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star for keeping it real by refusing to give into the airbrush.

“Thank you so much for not editing out your stretch marks!!” one fan wrote in response to the image.
To which Kourtney responded: “I love my little stripes.”
“Seriously such a beautiful move. Shows that we are all just human, nobody is perfect. thank you,” another fan agreed.
Another Instagram user described the star as a “true inspiration.”
“I think there should be a show your stretch marks day where people can post their stretch marks picture,” she added.
Other fans described how seeing the celebrity showing off her own body ‘flaws’ had urged them to embrace their own hangups.
“Those stretch marks are giving me life & helping me embrace mine. So gorg,” one woman shared.
“It’s amazing by simply posting a ‘real’ photo, so many women’s self esteem has been raised,” another agreed.
Kourtney isn’t the first person to celebrate her body just the way it is, stretch marks and all.
Back in 2017 shoppers praised ASOS for opting to leave stretch marks on several women modelling swimwear.
Retailer Boohoo were also applauded by customers for featuring a model wearing a swimsuit with visible stretch marks.
In June, Australian influencer, Belle Lucia, was praised for showing off the visible veins on her chest, which can be a common side effect of pregnancy.
And just this week Jameela Jamil celebrated a win in her fight against airbrushing when she was successful in ensuring a promotional poster remained true to life, ‘back fat’ and all.
