Rihanna praised by fans for not airbrushing models in Fenty campaign
Rihanna has been praised by fans online for not airbrushing models featured in her Fenty fashion label’s advertising campaigns.
Following the singer’s luxury clothing launch on Wednesday, a photograph of model Aweng Chuol went viral on Twitter.
In the image, a shirt-clad Chuol is pictured wearing a pair of glitzy earrings with visible scars on her left cheek.
One Twitter user shared a snap of the campaign image, alongside the caption: “I love that the images used on Fenty are not retouched, and that the models [sic] skin is not perfect by societal standards.”

It’s good to see imperfections that make us perfect. Great advert. I have some similar earring designs I bought many years ago from an antique market - will be digging them out!

This isn’t the first time Rihanna has championed diversity.
The 31-year-old launched a 40-shade make-up line back in September 2017 to encourage the beauty sphere to become more inclusive.

Adding yet another string to her bow, she later introduced a size-inclusive lingerie collection with sizes ranging from XS to 3XL.
Most recently, the singer-turned-designer recruited 67-year-old model JoAni Johnson as one of the faces of her new luxury clothing line.
Yet another positive strive for diversity in the fashion world.
