ASOS selling clothes designed for fashion lovers with disabilities
ASOS has become quite the fashion trailblazer lately.
Over the last few months they have announced plans to ban the sale of mohair, silk, cashmere and feather products, introduced more inclusive models, refused to photoshop stretch marks on women modelling their swimwear.
And last month the online retailer flew the flag for fashion diversity by happily showcasing various different body types in their promotional images, back rolls and all.
Now the online retailer has upped the ante once again by bringing in another much-needed change into the industry by offering representation for fashion lovers with disabilities.
Scroll through their ‘New In’ section and you’ll spot the brand’s first ever disabled model, Chloe Ball-Hopkins.
A Paralympian athlete and BBC reporter, Chloe has made her modelling debut showcasing an amazing tie dye all-in-one jumpsuit for ASOS’ ‘Design’ range.
And she’s absolutely rocking it.
Taking to Twitter, Chloe revealed how she’s been working with the brand to help create practical yet fashionable clothes for people with disabilities.
“So over the last several months I have been working with @ASOS to create a fashionable, yet practical waterproof all in one!” she wrote. “Not just for people like me in a chair but for anyone. It’s about making fashion accessible! So what should be next?!”

And fans were quick to let Chloe, and ASOS know that they appreciated the move.
“Brilliant! This is the most positive tweet to have appeared in my feed all week. We need more fashion companies to embrace accessibility (in its widest sense) to meet the needs of all their customers,” one user wrote.

“Will be recommending. I’ve heard from so many people how demoralising it can be to have to choose ‘practical/boring/frumpy’ clothes because no choice. More please @asos,” another added
