Affordable outfit ideas we're stealing from Instagram's style set this summer
We all have those days were selecting an outfit is too much to handle. Fortunately, Instagram has given women worldwide a free and virtually endless lookbook of ideas for what to wear for every occasion.
From Sunday brunch ensembles to winter wedding looks, the social media site can always be counted on to serve up millions of outfit options.
So, now that summer’s in sight, we’ve saved dozens of get-ups from our favourite Insta icons.
The outfits we’ve rounded up tick off the majority of this season’s top trends (floral midi dresses, gingham, striped skirts and statement earrings) and serve up major sartorial inspiration for the months ahead.
While not every outfit is still available to shop (Jeanne Damas’ infamous green dress from her label Rouje always sells out instantly when it gets restocked), these #ootd ideas will serve up some inspiration for you when figuring out what to wear.
Pandora Sykes’ gingham Uterque dress
Pandora’s dress is only available in large now, but you can shop numerous other great dresses from the Spanish label here.

Erica Davies’ stripe skirt and fruity blouse combo
Mixing prints is a great look to try. Erica’s teamed an L.K.Bennett skirt with a top from Pink City Prints here.

Freddie Harrel’s striped jumpsuit and head wrap
We can’t get enough of Freddie’s style. The mum-of-one is a big fan of prints and patterns, so this somewhat muted Ted Baker jumpsuit is a fairly quiet look for the blogger. However, we love the ease of this outfit – and the block heels add a pop of colour. A great wedding guest look to copy.

Jeanne Damas’ green wrap dress
Jeanne’s Insta-famous Gabin dress sells out the second it’s restocked – so you have to be incredibly quick if you want to buy it. Get on the email notification list to give yourself a head’s up when it’s available.

Slip Into Style’s polka dot blouse
Can you believe this fantastic blouse is from H&M? We’re struggling to locate it online, but the high-street store has plenty of other polka dot alternatives you can shop.

Lindsey Songa’s pastel dress and net bag combo
Who knew a pale pink dress would pair so well with orange footwear? We’re big fans of the colour blocking going on with this look.

Lucy Williams’ Ghost dress and Label/Mix bag combo
Lucy’s floral, puff-sleeved Ghost dress is all over Instagram at the moment. Millie Mackintosh is another famous face who’s worn the flattering frock.

Emma Hill’s winning Warehouse dress
This linen, button-through dress is currently out of stock, but we’re hopeful it will be back in store shortly. Mango has similar linen outfits for under £50.

Brittany Bathgate’s linen trousers
As Brittany pointed out in her Insta post, these Whistles trousers crease easily (that’s linen for you) but they’re incredibly cool and comfortable.

Penny Goldstone’s printed M&S dress
This geometric print dress is ideal for almost any occasion. Pair it with your trusty old Converse for brunch with your friends or team it with heeled sandals for a garden party.

Karo Dall’s Topshop skirt
Perfect for work, this checked midi skirt will pair well with a plain white tee or a loose cotton jumper on cooler summer evenings.

Jasmine Hemsley’s H&M win
This £60 H&M dress looks far more expensive than it is – always a win in our eyes.
