This 71-year-old female bodybuilder is the only workout inspiration you need
Josefina Monasterio has some seriously impressive abs. And thighs.
She’s also 71 years old.
The Venezuelan woman has been impressing her younger counterparts in the bodybuilding ring for the past decade.
At the age of 59, she decided to take up weight lifting. Now, she is one of the oldest muscle women in the world.
Of course, getting a body like Josefina’s takes a lot of work. Her daily exercise regime includes a six mile run followed by a three mile jog followed by a three mile walk. If that’s not enough, she also embarks on a morning of yoga as well as her beloved weight lifting.
The bodybuilder’s diet is also on the healthy side. She always eats a good breakfast (usually consisting of oats) before she leaves the house, snacking on fruit and ending with a hearty meaty meal.
The 71-year-old – who also has a PhD in Adult Personal Development and is a certified yoga therapist – regularly posts inspirational videos to her thousands of Facebook fans.
She says that her mission is to help others realise that they can achieve anything – if they only put their mind to it.
We’d hire her to be our life coach any day.
