Here is a 2024 NFL draft pick-by-pick breakdown for the San Francisco 49ers:
Round 1 (No. 31 overall) — Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida: Coming off a 65-catch, 965-yard season, he has amazing hands and 4.4 speed. Pearsall also has a reputation as a hard worker and should be yet another game-breaking weapon in NFC champs' multi-faceted offensive attack … though his arrival casts further doubt around the status of WR Brandon Aiyuk, who's entering his walk year and angling for a new contract. Round 2 (64, from Chiefs) — Renardo Green, CB, Florida State: He mostly plays wide but could compete for snaps in nickel packages after breaking up 14 passes last season. Big (6-0, 186) and tenacious with sub-4.5 speed, he could be a fixture here for some time. Draft tracker
Round 3 (86, from Eagles through Texans and Eagles) — Dominick Puni, OT, Kansas: Another depth move, though he could take over from Jon Feliciano in a year if he develops. Draft tracker
Round 4 (124, from Cowboys) — Malik Mustapha, S, Wake Forest: San Francisco continues to load up on the back end here. Mustapha has the range to hold up in both pass and run defense. His ball production in college was mediocre (three interceptions in 39 career games) and his athleticism isn't elite. Round 4 (129, from Lions through Vikings and Jets) — Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville: Christian McCaffrey fantasy football owners need not be worried. Guerendo already worked in a split role in Louisville with Jawhar Jordan and could help spell McCaffrey in San Francisco. He is an elite athlete at his size and put on a show at the scouting combine. Round 4 (135) — Jacob Cowing, WR, Arizona: Cowing's a small slot receiver who impresses with his straight-line speed. His small catch radius and stature (171 pounds at his pro day) could be tough to produce in the NFL. Round 6 (215, compensatory selection) — Jarrett Kingston, G, USC: San Francisco goes with versatility again with Kingston, who lined up at both guard and tackle on the right and left side in college. Round 7 (251) — Tatum Bethune, LB, Florida State: Bethune's a hard hitter in the run defense and has the speed to keep up in coverage. His long wingspan and large hands pair well with his fast processing to make for an effective special teamer right away.
