Round 1 (No. 18 overall) — Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia: Mims’ 87-inch wingspan and 6-8, 340-pound frame help him block out the sun. He only started eight games for the Bulldogs and might not be in the lineup immediately for Cincy. But this team usually drafts ahead of its needs, and offensive line has been a perennial one since QB Joe Burrow came to town in 2020. Round 6 (194) — Tanner McLachlin, TE, Arizona: The Bengals continue to boost the pass-catching group with McLachlan and Erick All on Day 3. With All, Drew Sample, and Mike Gesicki already on the roster, this is a puzzling choice. But McLachlan offers good ball skills at the catch point and enough athleticism to develop in the NFL. At 6-3, 260 pounds he boasts elite athleticism and solid sack production (19 in 46 games played). He had different defensive coordinators in each of his final three seasons at Ole Miss.
