How many points did A'ja Wilson score? Former South Carolina star gets another double-double

The U.S. women's basketball team is two wins away from winning a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics after the Americans defeated Nigeria 88-74 on Wednesday in the quarterfinals in Paris.

Former South Carolina star A'ja Wilson scored 20 points with 11 rebounds, two assists and one block in the win. It was her third double-double in four games which is the most of any women's player in this year's Olympics.

This marks the 59th straight win for the U.S. which is seeking its eighth straight gold medal.

Team USA has been led by Wilson and Breanna Stewart, with the two former WNBA MVPs putting up big numbers. At halftime against Nigeria, Stewart led with 13 points with Wilson adding 10. Stewart finished with 13.

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley was in attendance, posting an image on X, formerly known as Twitter, of her view of Wilson.

What are A'ja Wilson's stats in the 2024 Olympics?

Wilson's best two games of the Olympics were the first two for the U.S. She started Pool C play with 24 points and 13 rebounds in the 102-76 win over Japan. Then in the 87-74 win over Belgium, Wilson had 23 points and another 13 rebounds.

In the final game of pool play, Wilson scored 14 points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block in the 87-68 win over Germany.

The U.S. will now play in the semifinals against Australia on Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET.
