Here's every athlete with ties to South Carolina at 2024 Paris Olympics

The state of South Carolina will be well represented at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

There will be prominent athletes who attended Clemson and University of South Carolina who will vie for medals. There will be Olympians who were born or live in South Carolina competing, too.

The opening ceremony is Friday. It will feature South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley, who will walk with First Lady Jill Biden.

Staley is not coaching but has two former players competing. Clemson will have six athletes with five different countries represented.
