The Cincinnati Bengals continue to seek outside help after a wave of injuries along the defensive line.

Thursday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the team agreed to sign lineman Carlos Davis, formerly of the UFL's Birmingham Stallions.

The move follows right after the Bengals signed two other defensive line-free agents.

Davis joins fellow new arrivals defensive end Andre Carter and defensive tackle Joshua Pryor as practice and preseason game help with Trey Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard still on the way back from injuries.

Cam Sample is also out for the season, and while it doesn't sound overly serious, rookie McKinnley Jackson recently left a practice on a cart.

The Bengals won't want to give too much run to Joseph Ossai and former first-rounder Myles Murphy and risk injury ahead of big seasons, either. That means more outside names showing up to camp and getting a chance to prove they belong on a final 53.
