Is this the woman who set up Meghan Markle and Prince Harry?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally opened up about how they met in their first joint interview on Monday night.

Talking to the BBC, the newly engaged royal couple told the story of their first meeting with both agreeing that it was pretty much a “blind date.”

“We were introduced, actually, by a mutual friend – we’ll protect her privacy – but it was literally through her and we met once and then twice, back to back, two dates in London last July, beginning of July, and then it was about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to join me in Botswana,” Harry revealed.

Although the pair have tried to protect their pal, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive trying to work out who the Cupid is.

It had to be someone with connections to both the royal and the actress, cutting out a lot of people from the potential matchmaker list. People also believed the couple would have thanked the anonymous person in a public way.

Remember when Meghan Markle wore that white shirt for the couple’s first appearance together at the 2017 Invictus Games? Who designed the aptly named ‘husband’ shirt that swiftly sold out, giving the designer a lot of exposure?

Misha Nonoo.

The 31-year-old fashion designer was born in Bahrain, raised in Britain and now lives in New York. She met Meghan years ago through yet another mutual friend.

“We were seated next to one another at a lunch and we got along like a house on fire,” Nonoo told the Evening Standard. “She has the most remarkable and generous spirit. I aspire to be as philanthropic as she is, and to have as much of an impact as her.”

The pair have been close friends ever since. The designer called Meghan’s recent wardrobe choice “a beautiful surprise,” saying she had no idea the actress would choose her design for such an important occasion.

So how does the designer have a connection to Harry?

Well, until the end of last year, Nonoo was married to one of Harry’s former school chums and current best friend, Alexander Gilkes.

When asked whether she set the famous pair up, Nonoo replied: “I really can’t answer that.” But she did describe Meghan as “the coolest girl in the world. I love her to death.”

If one person’s guaranteed an invite to the most talked about wedding of 2018, it’s her.
