Every month at Red magazine, we ask one of our readers' best-loved tastemakers about their favourite things, from fashion finds and foodie gems, to holiday destinations and everything inbetween.

In the November 2024 issue, London-based stylist and brand consultant Lucy Williams shares the things that bring her joy. From Glossier lip liner and Loewe candles, to Mary Oliver's poems, discover the little things that she loves the most...

My can't-miss podcast is... I’m a religious The Rest Is Politics listener. I really appreciate their mantra of ‘disagreeing agreeably’ and their incredibly informed insights into world and UK politics.

The candle I love to light is... The Loewe Tomato Leaves Candle. I love the fresh scent – reminiscent of summer greenhouses – and the red fluted ceramic design tops off any table, dresser or shelf.

My signature lipstick is... I like wearing lip liner all over and a lip balm over the top. Right now, I’m loving Glossier’s new lip liner in Graze or Grip with Nuxe Honey Lip Balm over the top.

My favourite independent shop is... I’m always like a kid in a candy shop at Choosing Keeping in Covent Garden, especially at Christmas time, as it does the best nostalgic tree decorations and beautiful wrapping paper.

My foodie weakness is... I grew up on a potato farm, and a baked potato with lots of butter and cheese is my ultimate comfort food. And I very rarely go a day without eating chocolate! I’m addicted to the Hu Cashew Butter bar.

When I send flowers, I call... I love JamJar Flowers in London and Petalon for further afield. I also have a subscription to Uncut Stems, which delivers fortnightly bunches of locally grown blooms.

My one-stop coffee shop is... The Elder Press Cafe in Chiswick. In the summer, it’s an iced latte with almond milk, and in the winter it’s a single-shot, full-fat cappuccino.

On toast, I love to spread... Honey on one slice, Marmite on the other. Something about the sweet and savoury mix is so good.

My favourite pair of shoes is... I have a pair of platform patent silver sandals from Souliers Martinez, which are the best party shoes and add four inches of height while still being so comfy.

The shade I always paints my nails is... I’ve only started having manicures in the past couple of years and often still have bare nails or a very natural, sheer colour. I like having gel pedicures and always go for a chocolate brown shade, such as Hermès Les Mains in Brun Bistre.

The book I keep on my bedside table is... An anthology of Mary Oliver’s poems. They’re always a great reminder to slow down and worry less.

My best-ever holiday was... I married my husband in Greece two years ago with all our friends and family there. We would bump into one another for coffee in the mornings and have meals in the evenings. It felt like a neighbourhood of our favourite people in our favourite country.

The one thing I can't stop buying for my house is... Trinket dishes, lamps and single chairs are just a few weaknesses of mine. My husband sensibly put me on a lamp ban last year because we had nowhere else to put them!

The mantra I live by is... My mum always says, ‘It’s all part of life’s rich tapestry,’ when things don’t go to plan. It used to drive me mad as a teen, but I get it now.
