'Selfless' bride arranges surprise proposal for best friend at her own wedding
Think proposing to your partner at someone else’s wedding is a no no? This touching story might be the exception to the rule.
Bride Jessica Krayno, from Saskatoon, Canada, teamed up with her best friend Jess’ boyfriend to secretly organise a surprise proposal – during her reception party.
Krayno’s wedding photographer Ross Dance was there to capture the moment on camera, describing it as “one of the most beautiful and unselfish things I’ve ever witnessed shooting weddings”.
“Leading up to the wedding, Jessica’s bridesmaid and best friend worked tirelessly to ensure the preparations and wedding day were perfect,” Dance wrote on Instagram.
“To show her appreciation, the bride decided to share her special day with her friend, coordinating the proposal with Jess’ boyfriend.”
“Instead of throwing the bouquet, the bride spun around and walked over to her best friend. Everything froze as she said ‘Jess… turn around…'”
Jessica also shared a touching account of the special moment on her Instagram, explaining that she doesn’t think people need to be “greedy about love.”
“Passing my wedding bouquet to my best friend, with her now fiancé behind her on one knee was one of the most special moments of my life (aside for marrying my soulmate ????),” she wrote.
“My best friend was starting her love story – I didn’t even think about that being me giving up my day. I have love and I want people close to me to have love too.”
Total BFF goals.
