Sam Smith attends awards ceremony in lace 'underwear'
Sam Smith wore lace and silk lingerie for the Attitude Awards ceremony on Wednesday night.
The 27-year-old singer, who prefers to be referred to by gender-neutral pronouns “they” and “their”, was awarded the Attitude Person of the Year award at the London event.
They wore a forest green silk negligee paired with a lace robe and matching loungewear trousers. On their feet, they wore black platform heeled boots – which look like the same Gucci pair they wore to the 2019 GQ Awards.
The glamorous look was completed with winged black eyeliner and a clear lip gloss.

According to the brand’s Instagram account, it is “reclaiming a man’s right to adornment and beauty in fashion”.
This isn’t the first time Smith has experimented with breaking gendered fashion norms.
Last month, they wore a pair of heeled Shaun Ross x United Nude Limited Edition Collaboration Boots at the premiere of ‘Judy’ in Beverly Hills.
