The Queen's special advisor is giving Meghan Markle royal lessons

Meghan Markle is being taught how to be an effective royal by the Queen’s special adviser.

The ink has barely dried on her shiny, new marriage certificate, but the new Duchess of Sussex has already turned her attention to being the best royal she can be.

To give the former actress a helping hand in learning the royal ropes, the Duchess will be schooled by the Queen’s assistant private secretary, Samantha Cohen.

According to The Times the 49-year-old had actually handed in her notice last September, but has reportedly agreed to stay on as an interim private secretary for a further six months.

It is believed that Meghan will spend the next six months in training, learning how to be an effective member of the royal family.

Part of her royal education will include touring the country and meeting charities, something both she and her new husband, Prince Harry already have plenty of experience in.

“It will be six months of listening,” a source told The Times. “She is seeking out advice from a range of people. She is going to proceed with humility. It is not going to be quiet, though. It is going to be a very busy office.

“She has worked every day of her life. She is used to a demanding schedule.”

Proof of Meghan’s new royal credentials were revealed mere hours after her wedding on Saturday when she was added to the official Royal Family website.

But fans were confused that the front page of for the newly-titled Duchess of Sussex failed to mention her acting career.

Though the biography within the page features descriptions about Meghan’s charity work, her career as an actress seemed to be downplayed with absolutely no mention of her role in the hit US series ‘Suits.’

It lead some to speculate that her new royal role might involve a glossing over of her past.

All eyes were also on the Duchess on Monday as she made her first official royal engagement with her new husband the Duke of Sussex attending a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace.

For the occasion, Meghan opted for Goat Fashion’s Flavia dress in pale peach, which features a sheer top and sleeves, and which has already sold out, of course.

But it wasn’t just her fashion choice that was being scrutinised, fans were also keen to see if the newlywed would abide by the royal rules now that she is an official member of the family.

And she didn’t disappoint royalists.

From opting to wear tights when she normally would keep her legs bare, to refusing fan selfies and keeping her nails natural, there were plenty of signs the new Duchess plans to take her new role seriously.

We think she’s going to make an amazing royal!
