Prince Charles and Camilla's upcoming tour might hint at Meghan Markle's due date
Prince Charles may have inadvertently hinted at the Duchess of Sussex’s due date.
Clarence House announced on Monday that the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will be travelling to Germany on May 7.
Charles and Camilla will visit Berlin, Leipzig and Munich during the four-day tour, which concludes on May 10.
While Meghan’s exact due date has not been revealed, she told well-wishers during a trip to Birkenhead in January, that she is due to give birth at the end of April or beginning of May.
Royal fans think the baby could arrive before Charles heads off on tour, so he can be in the UK to welcome his fourth grandchild.
He is said to have formed a close bond with daughter-in-law Meghan.
The heir to the throne, 70, and his wife, 71, visited the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s hospital in Paddington, when Prince George was born on 22 July 2013.
What we know about the royal baby’s birth
Last week Buckingham Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will keep the birth of their baby private.
It is understood that no details will be released about which hospital Meghan has chosen to deliver her child. Although there have been reports that she is wishing to have a home birth.
A statement from the palace read: “Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
