Primark have released an £8 version of Gucci's famous loafers
Although we clamour over the latest designer fashion buys as much as the next person, we’re also big fans of saving money.
So it’s always nice to spot a fashion steal from a high street retailer.
This time, it’s thanks to Primark. The cheap-as-chips store has announced the launch of a new embroidered loafer that looks suspiciously similar to a best-selling Gucci style.

The only difference is the price. While Gucci’s retail for a whopping £530, Primark’s backless style come in at only £8.
They both feature the same colour scheme (pink, purple and blue) as well as the iconic gold horsebit buckle.
Gucci’s design comes from the Italian brand’s SS17 collection. The slip-on style has a “richly detailed metallic jacquard finish” and are recommended to be worn with a brocade coat and chiffon blouse.
Primark isn’t the only high street retailer to cop on to Gucci’s much-loved aesthetic.

Office sell a yellow brocade pair of loafers for only £69 while ASOS is taking great inspiration from Gucci’s colourful printed bags.
Hopefully, Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele is only too happy to see his work worn by the masses.
