Katy Perry has shared a sneak peek at “what would have been” her Met Gala 2020 costume.
The mum-to-be, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom, revealed on Monday night that she was due to wear a stunning Jean Paul Gaultier corset, which would have highlighted her baby bump.

The beautifully crafted, blush pink look would have played homage to designer, Gaultier’s iconic cone bra, famously worn by Madonna during her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990.
“what would have been… #TheMetBall2020,” the Firework singer captioned the photo on Instagram with a broken heart emoji.
The theme of this year’s gala was going to be “About Time: Fashion and Duration.”

Gaultier originally created the cone bra in 1983 and it became one of Madonna’s most well-known looks.
The Met was due to go ahead on 4 May 2020, but was postponed due to COVID-19.
But, disappointed in missing out on their annual fashion fix, fans have been recreating their favourite Met looks on social media.

Katy Perry announced she was expecting her first child, with Orlando Bloom, at the beginning of March, and she has been schooling us in maternity fashion ever since.
It's the first child for the couple, although Bloom shares nine-year-old son Flynn with model ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
She recently revealed the couple are going to be welcoming a baby girl, after previously announcing her hopes that she would be expecting a daughter.
She shared a photo of Bloom to her Instagram with a face covered in what looked to be pink icing as the expectant father beamed at the camera.
The popstar shared “it's a girl”, with the message surrounded in pink love hearts, as well as tagging her location as “Girls Run The World”.
Orlando and Perry became engaged on Valentine's Day last year after around three years of dating on and off.

Last year the singer literally lit up the Met Gala by dressing up as a chandelier.
The visual masterpiece, created by close friend and creative director of Moschino, Jeremy Scott, was crafted from thousands of Swarovski crystals, and featured mirrored shards and jewels strewn across the hemline.
As well as a theatrical chandelier swing from the bodice, Perry finished the magical ensemble with a second chandelier balanced atop her sleek blonde bob.
