Pregnant Duchess of Cambridge talks Harry and Meghan engagement at museum outing
The Duchess of Cambridge was faced with plenty of questions about her brother-in-law’s recent news on Tuesday morning.
Arriving at London’s Foundling Museum, a pregnant Kate said she was “absolutely thrilled” for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement.
“It’s such exciting news. It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment,” the 35-year-old royal commented.
The mother-of-two continued to hide her growing baby bump, wearing a printed shirt dress by American designer Kate Spade.
She topped off the monochrome look with suede burgundy heels and a matching clutch.
The Duchess was at the museum to meet families and children who have benefitted from the organisation’s education programmes.
The Foundling Museum centres on the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity and public art gallery.
Harry and Meghan spoke fondly of William and Kate in their first joint interview on Monday.
“I’d been seeing [Meghan] for a period of time when I literally didn’t tell anybody at all,” Harry told the BBC.
“And then William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine, so you know, being our neighbours, we managed to get that in a couple of, well, quite a few times now, and Catherine has been absolutely amazing, as has William as well, you know, fantastic support.”
Meghan, meanwhile, said Kate had been “wonderful” towards her.
Here’s hoping the Duchess and actress become the next big royal power duo.
