A group of plus-size models took to London Fashion Week yesterday morning to call out the industry for its lack of diversity.

Model Hayley Hasselhoff led the protest in collaboration with plus-size retailer, Simply Be, to encourage designers to celebrate women of all shapes and sizes.

The group of models donned lace-emblazoned lingerie and carried signs outside the BFC Show Space which read messages such as, ‘LFW, Where are the Curves?’ and ‘Love your Curves’.

Angela Spindler, chief executive of the company which owns Simply Be, told London Evening Standard: “We want the fashion industry to change the way it represents body shapes. This isn’t about ‘skinny shaming,’ we think that shape should be celebrated irrespective of size, and it’s time that the industry became more diverse. After all, fashion is for everyone.”

Last season, the fashion label hosted a plus-size runway show which included the likes of models Tess Holliday and Callie Thorpe.
