Palace releases rare photos of Kate, William and all three children in Duchess’ Chelsea Flower Show garden
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared some new fun family photos of them with their three children in Kate’s ‘Back to Nature’ garden, designed for the Chelsea Flower Show.
The family of five looked right at home as they explored the woodland setting on Sunday at the Royal Hospital, in four snaps taken by Matt Porteous.
Eldest child Prince George, five, helps his father William, 36, to gather sticks in front of the garden’s den. Kate, 37, can be seen gently guiding her youngest Prince Louis, one, as he toddles about.
The palace reveal that over the past months, the children have helped their mother gather moss, leaves and twigs to help decorate the garden. Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den.

In another photo Prince George and Princess Charlotte, four, sit on a wooden bridge, with their bare feet dipped into a pond.
George wears his H&M teal polo top with turtle emblem and a pair of navy shorts, while Charlotte dons one of her signature ditsy floral dresses, £65, from Rachel Riley.
Kate is visible in the background, wearing a £89 long-sleeve printed midi dress from & Other Stories with £116 Castaner ‘Carina’ espadrille wedges. William tends to Louis as he helps his father gather sticks.

In a third photo, William looks on as Louis proudly holds a stick and runs to the camera, proving that he’s already a confident walker. He wears a navy button-up knit, matching shoes from Pepa & Co and what appears to be his big brother’s pink striped dungarees by Spanish label Neck & Neck.
The duchess revealed during a visit to Milton Keynes earlier this week that the tot “is keeping us on our toes.”
She added: "I turned around the other day and he was at the top of the slide — I had no idea!".
George and Charlotte can also be seen climbing up a miniature waterfall, as Kate supervises.
In a fourth image, Louis plays on the same swing his mother was photographed on. His father, dressed in a light blue shirt and brown chinos, laughs at him as he holds on.
The swing seat hangs below the garden’s centrepiece, a high platform treehouse.
Charlotte also confidently has a go on the swing and another in another candid shot, Kate puts her arm around Louis as he holds a rock.
The duchess has co-designed the space with landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White to encourage all generations to connect with nature.

In her charity work and patronages, Kate is a strong advocate for the proven benefits the outdoors has on physical and mental health, and the positive impact that nature and the environment can have on childhood development in particular.
The duchess told Monty Don in an interview for the BBC, to be aired on Monday: “I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children.
“I really hope that this woodland that we have created really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and spend quality time together.”
The finished garden will be unveiled in full at the Chelsea Flower Show this week. The Queen and members of the Royal Family will visit to tour the gardens and see displays.
Photos of Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, taken by Kate, were released in April and May to mark their first and fourth birthdays respectively.
Prince George is set to turn six on July 22.
