Nando's has brought out halloumi sticks and people are very excited
In news that will come as music to the ears of cheese lovers (which is basically everyone right?), Nando’s has added halloumi sticks to its UK menu.
The chicken emporium announced a few new items on its menu, but it was the squeaky cheese wedges that have caused the most excitement.
Nando’s tweeted a mouthwatering, zoomed-in picture of their latest treat, and more than a thousand fans have already liked the post.

The halloumi fries will cost a rather modest £3.70 for five, including a side of chilli jam for dipping.
And if Twitter is anything to go by, they’re going to be an extremely popular option.

Nando’s already had a few halloumi options on its menu, including veggies’ favourite the portobello mushroom and halloumi burger plus a side order option of grilled halloumi cheese, but this is the first time it’s available as a starter in its own right.
And about time too, we say.
Nando’s said: ‘The famous squeaky cheese has long been the perfect compliment to Nando’s fiery brand of Southern African PERi-PERi chicken, and is now rewarded with its very own starter.
‘Consisting of five chunky sticks of halloumi, grilled until golden brown, and served with a pot of Nando’s sticky, sweet chilli jam for dipping; addiction levels will be high.’
