M&S has brought back its Christmas Gin & Tonic in a can and it's got us in the festive spirit
Marks & Spencer has started stocking festive drinks and though it is still only October, it’s beg-gin-ing to look a lot like Christmas.
M&S’s Christmas Gin & Tonic in a can arrived just in time to mark National Gin and Tonic day, earlier this week.
The Christmassy cocktail is a blend of Indian tonic water with two measures of the brand’s Christmas Dry Gin – and it was a runaway success last year.
The gin is flavoured with hints of ginger, cardamom and cinnamon, and handcrafted at Edinburgh-based distillery, The Old Curiosity.
“Toast #NationalGinandTonicDay with one of our Christmassy G&T cans, made at Edinburgh’s Old Curiosity distillery with a blend of festive botanicals. Tag a friend who'd love these!” the supermarket’s launch post on Instagram read.

After sharing an image of the cans with sweet little Santa hats on top, the comments section was flooded with excited gin fans looking forward to enjoying the festive tipple this year.
“Another drink to sample before the season actually starts,” one Instagram user wrote.
“This may have to be the tipple at our winter walkies,” another commented.
Lets face it, with so much uncertainty surrounding our Christmas plans right now, we think we totally deserve an early seasonal treat.
Besides, we’ve already been told by retail experts that we should start our Christmas shopping early this year, and this totally counts, right?

This isn’t the only festive gin offering from M&S this year. The high street chain has also brought back its popular snow globe gin and it comes with added sparkle.
Not only has this year’s snow globe gin reboot been expanded to include a brand-new rhubarb flavour, but the bottles have also been given a clever make-over.

The gorgeous bottles now come with an LED light in the base, which brings out the sparkle of the 23 carat edible gold leaf inside and illuminates the woodland and festive street scene decorations.
M&S has also launched its Christmas food collection for 2020 and it includes the return of the festive-version of Colin the Caterpillar, which comes complete with the sweetest Santa hat.
Other seasonal highlights include Percymas Pig pies, for fans of the gummy sweets who aren’t keen on traditional mince pies, Santa’s Yumnut and a three-tiered sausage roll.
