Has Meghan Markle already celebrated her hen do?
Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry isn’t actually taking place until May 19, but the bride-to-be has allegedly already had her hen weekend.
The soon-to-be royal is reported to have held a secret hen do party at a “mystery five-star resort” yesterday, according to the Daily Mail.
Though it is thought the 36-year-old former Suits star spent the day getting pampered with her closest friends, the publication also reports that two major guests were absent from the celebrations – her mum Doria Radlan, and her future sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge.
According to The Sun the Duchess of Cambridge was not among the guests. The Duchess is said to have wanted to attend, but given that she is seven months pregnant with her third child she is thought to have chosen to rest at home.
Meghan’s mum on the other hand also missed out on the hen, remaining at her home in California.
The hens may have included former Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh, 28, who has been reportedly helping Meghan to organise the wedding on May 19 and who some are speculating could actually be a bridesmaid on the big day.
Among the others likely to have been in attendance are fashion designer Misha Nonoo, 31, and PR adviser Violet von Westenholz, 33, both of whom have been discussed as the possible matchmaker who introduced Prince Harry to Meghan.
While the location of the hen party has been kept secret for security reasons, luxury Oxfordshire resort Soho Farmhouse has been tipped as a potential venue as her and Millie Mackintosh were photographed together there last year.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson refused to comment on the rumoured hen do when approached by Mail Online.
Meghan previously revealed to a well-wisher on a visit to Scotland that her hen-do was “sorted”, adding that she was certain it would be ‘fun’, whatever her girlfriends have in store for her.
“We asked them what they were doing for their stag and hen dos,” Tom, 30, from London told People.
“Meghan said, ‘I’m not sure – it’s sorted but it will be fun’.”
Prince Harry also admitted he was being kept in the dark about his stag do, adding: “I’m sure William’s got something up his sleeve.”
His brother, Prince William, had previously claimed he was unsure if his brother was going to ask him to be best man.
“He hasn’t asked me yet – it could be a sensitive issue!” William said when asked by DJ Roman Kemp about his brother’s big day and the importance of a best man.
