Kim Kardashian accused of 'hypocrisy' after selling 'knock-off' Emilio Pucci sunglasses
Kim Kardashian has been called out for copying an Emilio Pucci sunglasses design.
As part of her eyewear collaboration with Carolina Lemke, the entrepreneur promoted a design which closely resembles one from the Italian designer’s spring-summer collection.
Kardashian, 38, who rose to fame on hit US reality show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, was called out by @dietprada, an Instagram account known for holding the fashion industry to account.

In a post shared yesterday with its 1.4 million followers, the account user called Kardashian a “hypocrite” for promoting the lookalike design.
The “Choatix” sunglasses, available for €90 (£81) on the Carolina Lemke website, share a distinctive shape and yellow frame with the Emilio Pucci SS17 design.

The account referenced her recent lawsuit against Missguided USA, in which she was awarded £2.4 million in damages from the fast fashion retailer. She filed a lawsuit against the company in February, days after she called it out for selling outfits which are near-identical to her husband Kanye West’s Yeezy designs.
What’s more, Kardashian had previously worn the Emilio Pucci sunglasses herself back in August 2018 – a fact the account also called up on.
Instagram users are weighing in, with one writing: “Remember when you guys accused kim of working with fast fashion brands and then she literally won a lawsuit proving the opposite”.
Another added: “The irony. While I hate misguided and other fast fashion sites stealing designs. Kim stole them first so she doesn’t deserve a cent.”

Kardashian has been in the headlines a lot lately.
Earlier this month, a high-profile cultural appropriation row over her not-quite-eponymous Kimono shapewear line sparked a social media backlash, with the Japanese government ultimately getting involved. This lead to her vowing to change the brand name, although a new name is yet to be announced.
