Kim Kardashian on her famous Met Gala corset dress: 'I have never felt pain like that in my life'
Fashion before comfort is a rule Kim Kardashian lives by, as the reality television star has opened up about the pain she went through at the 2019 Met Gala.
In a recent interview with WSJ Magazine, the 38-year-old spoke candidly about the reality of wearing a Thierry Mugler silicone dress to the annual red carpet event.
Beneath the near-naked ensemble, Kardashian wore a corset by the legendary Mr Pearl - a designer favoured by burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese - emblazoned with crystal droplets.
But the waist-clinching look was so tight, it left “indentations” on her body.
“I have never felt pain like that in my life,” the mother-of-four told the publication. “I’ll have to show you pictures of the aftermath when I took it off - the indentations on my back and stomach.”
A pretty bold statement to make, considering Kardashian has undergone childbirth twice.

In fact, Kardashian even revealed via Instagram that she had to undergo breathing lessons from the corset-marker to prevent passing out at the Met Gala.
The look led her to apologise to US Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, for not being able to sit at dinner.
In a video for the publication, she said: “Okay so Anna, if I don’t sit down for dinner, now you know why. I cannot hardly sit. I can only, like, half-sit.”
Though it’s she’s not the only celebrity to have suffered at the hands of fashion.
