Ivanka Trump's fashion label sees record sales
Somehow, Ivanka Trump’s fashion brand is on the up. Although the label has been plagued with controversies since father Donald Trump’s election, the Ivanka Trump Collection has just seen its most successful month on record.
The company saw a 557% rise in sales in February; a major positive point for any business in the current climate.
This may be down to Ivanka’s insistence on regularly wearing her own designs in TV interviews and at high-profile events. The new First Daughter has been criticised for cashing in on her father’s new job but with every eye watching her style closely, a sales boost was only inevitable.
Earlier this year, Ivanka’s range was dropped by major US department stores including Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman. However, this clearly hasn’t affected sales.
“For several different retailers, Ivanka Trump was a top performer online,” company president Abigail Klem told Refinery29. “And in some of the categories, it was the [brand’s] best performance ever.”
Multibrand site Lyst confirmed the record, telling The Telegraph: “During the month of February, the Ivanka Trump brand sold the 11th most individual items on Lyst. If you compare February to Ivanka Trump’s average orders in 2016, the brand sales increased 557%.”
Ivanka may have distanced herself from the $100 million brand for now but she’s still racking in those profits.
