Hayley Hasselhoff refuses to use the word 'confident' to describe her plus-size body
Hayley Hasselhoff, 27, refuses to use the word “confident” when speaking about her body.
“I never like to use the word confident when I talk about my body,” the daughter of actor David Hasselhoff told Superdrug’s Dare Magazine, adding that she experiences both “good body days and bad body days".
The plus-size model prefers to use the word “connected”, instead.

“I use the word 'connected' because I feel I’m very connected to my being, my self-worth and self-love, so if I’m having a bad body day, I can change my mindset, remember who I am and that my body doesn’t define me."
Hasselhoff, who has worked with plus-size brands such as Simply Be and Rihanna’s lingerie line Savage X Fenty, also praised the growing offering for curvier women available on the high street.
Plus size is generally defined as clothing size 16 and above – and, as Hasselhoff points out, the average woman in the UK is a size 16.
She added: “Now, I’m not saying it should only be curve – it should be all shapes and sizes – but I think people are starting to wake up.”
Her comments are reminiscent of plus-size singer Lizzo’s call for people to stop calling her “brave” for posing nude.
The 31-year-old has become a key figure within the body positivity movement, thanks to her nude and scantily-clad Instagram posts, and is regularly celebrated for her confidence on social media.

But the musician believes there is a “double standard” at play when people talk about plus-sized women in the public eye.
“When people look at my body and be like, 'Oh my God, she's so brave,' it's like, 'No, I'm not, I'm just fine. I'm just me. I'm just sexy,” Lizzo said in an interview with Glamour magazine.
She added: “If you saw Anne Hathaway in a bikini on a billboard, you wouldn't call her brave.
