Oh we do like to be beside the seaside – particularly when temperatures are set to hit record highs this weekend in the UK.

But there’s one thing that nobody truly enjoys about the beach, and that’s the sand and the fact that it gets e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e.

From your car to the bottom of handbags, inside your swimsuit and all those places we’d really rather not think about.

Thankfully, however, one clever mum has shared a super simple trick for getting sand off your feet easily and it’s a total beach game changer.

Stephanie Scheffer kindly headed over to TikTok to share her secret to sand-free tootsies, and it’s a heck of a lot easier than you might think.

It turns out the key to ridding your feet of pesky sand is remembering to bring a bottle of talcum powder with you every time you visit the beach.

In the clip, she uses baby powder to cover the child’s foot, before easily brushing it away, leaving it clean and completely sand-free.

“Always have baby powder in the car for beach trips...,” she explains in the caption. “You don’t want all this sand coming in your car, so sprinkle it on the area that has the sand and it comes right off. Look, no more sand. And it smells good.”

While we confess we don’t fully understand the science behind it, it appears the powder absorbs the moisture in the sand that makes it stick, allowing it to be brushed away more easily.

Life-changing!

Unsurprisingly, since sharing her clever hack, the video has gone viral, with more than 26,000 likes.

This isn’t the only hack that has been lighting up TikTok recently.

Earlier this week a woman shared a clip showing how she uses kitchen roll to help get tupperware back to its stain-free best, with zero scrubbing required.

Last month one TikTok user shared her clever trick promising to help you pick out the perfect pair of jeans, without the need to try them on.

Back in June parents expressed their gratitude for a clever pyjama folding trick that helps keep sets together.

Meanwhile another mum came up with a genius hack for cutting a cake perfectly - using tongs instead of a knife.

We’ve also had our eyes opened to a new way of filling up an ice cube tray, making us think we’ve been doing it wrong this entire time.

And let’s not forget the game-changing reveal about how much easier it is to cut an avocado with a special £5.50 tool to do the job.
