Gwyneth Paltrow insists 'nepotism babies' like her have to work 'twice as hard'
Gwyneth Paltrow has insisted that she has had to work "twice as hard" to be taking seriously during her career because of her famous parents.
The former actress and Goop founder, 49, noted that while she had "unfairly" gained access to Hollywood, she then had to really prove herself because the industry was "ready to pull" her down.
As the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and late director Bruce Paltrow she is one of a group referred to as 'nepotism babies'.
Speaking to model Hailey Bieber – who is herself of the high-profile Baldwin acting family – for her Who's In My Bathroom? YouTube series, she said: "As the child of someone, you get access other people don't have, so the playing field is not level in that way.
"However, I really do feel that once your foot is in the door, which you unfairly got in, then you almost have to work twice as hard and be twice as good.
"Because people are ready to pull you down and say, 'You don't belong there' and 'you are only there because of your dad or your mom', or whatever the case may be."

Paltrow rose to fame in films such as Seven, Emma, Sliding Doors, and A Perfect Murder, and won an Oscar for her role in Shakespeare In Love in 1999.
After taking a step back from acting, she launched the wellness company Goop in 2008.
The star insisted that others in her position shouldn't let their wealthy or famous connections "limit" them.
Paltrow said: "It shouldn't limit you because what I believe is that nobody in the world, especially somebody who doesn't know you, should have a negative impact on your path or the decisions that you make."
