Golden Globes 2019: All the celebrity red carpet fashion
The January Blues have lifted over the Hollywood hills, as the A-list pack donned their finest clobber last night for the Golden Globe Awards 2019.
Despite the palm-fringed California backdrop, a whole host of stars flew the British flag and certainly scooped a sartorial trophy or two in the process.
‘Mary Poppins Returns’ star Emily Blunt further cemented her status as our go-to style muse in her fifth seriously covetable look of the week. For the starry ceremony, the actress chose a heavily embellished Alexander McQueen number with co-ordinating shoes and a romantic hair barrette to finish.
Meanwhile, fellow fashion darling Jodie Comer took style notes from onscreen fashion muse Villanelle in a ruffled Ralph and Russo dress – an ensemble that would not look out of place hung in her ‘Killing Eve’ wardrobe.
But it wasn’t all about the Brits; from Halle Berry to Julianne Moore, Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta Jones, older women proved that style is ageless in an array of looks.
The spotlight was well and truly fixated on Halle Berry, 52, who chose a sheer Zuhair Murad gown for the star-studded ceremony. Meanwhile, 49-year-old Catherine Zeta-Jones graced the headlines courtesy of a thigh-split Elie Saab dress.
Jamie Lee Curtis, 60, also deserves a shoutout for her slick Alexander McQueen dress – finished with icy-white hair to match.
Those of us who have had the ‘A Star Is Born’ soundtrack on repeat will be pleased to learn that Lady Gaga unsurprisingly won big taking home the prestigious accolade for best original song.
Of course the singer made her stage appearance memorable in a bespoke Valentino couture dress. While co-star Bradley Cooper led this year’s best dressed men list in a dapper white tux.
From Rachel Weisz in Celine ruffles to Rami Malek’s chic Givenchy suit, here’s what your favourite Hollywood names wore to the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.
