Escape to the Country host's emotional confession after buyer bursts into tears
Escape to the Country presenter Ginny Buckley made a heartfelt confession during the latest episode as she opened up on her sad family loss.
Ginny was back for another instalment of the popular BBC show on Wednesday afternoon (October 30) to assist married couple Ele and Huw with their move from Hertfordshire to East Sussex. The pair were ready to leap to the countryside after tragedy struck their family home.
Explaining how Huw had an accident in 2018 which took him months to recover from, the couple also shared that they lost their dog Bree not long after. Huw said: "Quite a few months later just after our lives were getting back on track, our first dog Bree unfortunately, one day just had a seizure out of nowhere."
Ele then added that although they tried to see if medication would help their furry friend, it wasn't to be and their dog sadly died. Explaining the story, she burst into tears.

She said: "While we tried to see if medication and things would help. But after two weeks we had to make the decision to have her put to sleep, which is something I would always associate with this house."
To try and bring the sparkle back into their lives, Huw and Ele decided to get a new dog but things didn't go to plan. The couple explained that their pup Chip was diagnosed with Elbow dysplasia which causes abnormal development of the elbow joints.
Later on in the show, Ginny shared a confession of her own about her dog's passing that she's still heartbroken about. The presenter said: "Oh bless them!
"I know exactly how they feel. I lost my best pal Rocko, the cocker spaniel last year and I still miss him every single day.
"You know dogs really are man's and woman's best friend. But life for Ele and Huw has to go on and they've decided for a new house here in the High Weald."
Ele and Huw's property search did go smoothly when Ginny showcased three exceptional properties, with the mystery house being their most desired. But in the end, the couple decided to continue their house search online.
Escape to the Country airs weekdays at 3pm on BBC One.
