BBC Morning Live chaos as Gethin Jones forced to step in to help Strictly stars
BBC Morning Live was thrown into chaos as Gethin Jones was forced to step in after a major tech blunder with Strictly Come Dancing’s Jamie Borthwith.
During Wednesday’s episode of the hit breakfast show, Gethin and co-host Michelle Ackerley were set to be joined by Strictly’s Jamie and his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas ahead of Saturday night's performance.
However things didn’t go to plan as Gethin introduced the couple onto the show it appeared as though the video link didn’t work.
Turning to the screen, Gethin asked: “Are you there?” Jamie and Michelle failed to appear and Gethin stepped in and explained: “They’ve been running around rehearsal rooms all morning and now they are trying to find Wi-Fi to speak to us.”

The presenter had no choice but to carry on with the rest of the show however moments later Jamie and Michelle managed to get connected.
The actor, who is well known for his role on EastEnders, has been going from strength to strength in the competition.
Last week the duo impressed with their playful American smooth to The Addams Family theme while dressed as brother and sister duo Wednesday and Pugsley Addams.
They managed to walk away with 38 points out of a possible 40. Michelle couldn't help but ask: “They’ve been top of the leader board for a few weeks, is there not a bit of pressure coming in?”
It’s clear Jamie isn’t letting the pressure get to him as he replied: “No because I’m remembering all my friends who have done it before and watching it as a viewer. I think for however long I’m going to be here I know I’ll just keep the mentality I’ve had from the start.”
He continued: “I’m here to enjoy myself, I have a fantastic partner and we laugh everyday. The people on this show are fantastic and I’m trying 100%. The whole competition is 13 weeks and I could dance for 13 years and I've never been good at these so I’m trying and enjoying myself.”
As things seemed to be running smoothly they suffered yet another tech issue and their interview was cut short.
Michelle turned to the frozen screen and said: “Oh no.” Gethin jumped in: “Oh. While we try to get them back, have a look at some behind the scenes clips.”
A clip of Jamie and Michelle was then shown before they finally returned to the show to finish off their chat. On Saturday night (November 2nd) Jamie and Michelle are set to take on the dreaded Samba to Faith by George Micheal for Icon Week.
