David Beckham has revealed that his wife Victoria has pretty much only eaten grilled fish and steamed vegetables for the past 25 years – except for on one occasion.
Other than being one of the world's most well-known footballers, Beckham is known by his Instagram followers for being something of an avid foodie, in contrast to his fashion designer spouse, who will "rarely deviate" from her strict menu.
David, 46, revealed the only time that Victoria, 47, has tried another food during that lengthy period of time was when she was pregnant with their daughter Harper, which he described as "one of my favourite evenings".
Speaking to River Cafe Table 4 podcast host Ruthie Rogers, David spoke of his love for food, saying, "I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I'm eating something great I want everyone to try it."
But he added, jokingly, "Unfortunately I'm married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate away from there.
"The only time she's probably ever shared something that's been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing.
"It was one of my favourite evenings. I can't remember what it was but I know she's not eaten it since."

David also shared that he likes making the most of his alone time at home by experimenting with food.
Speaking on the podcast, he recalled, "Pretty recently I was in isolation for five days because I'd just been to Italy so I came back and on one of the last days Victoria's parents had a party and I couldn't actually go to it.
"So everyone was out of the house and I secretly loved it. I literally had two most amazing cuts of meat. One was a T-bone and I had some English wagyu.
"I poured one glass of the most amazing red wine that I treated myself to because I was on my own looking forward to watching the football in the afternoon on my own. So I set the barbecue up.
"I had a nice tomato and shallot salad and the meat and a glass of wine and it was the most amazing meal that I had for a long time. Those are my most amazing afternoons and evenings."

Despite enjoying this side of things on his own, he gives Victoria credit for her wine tasting abilities, with whom he used to order the most expensive bottle in the restaurant in the early days to know they were drinking something good.
He said, "There's nothing better than sitting at a table with someone knows what they're talking about and what they're drinking and what they're smelling and what they're tasting. Annoyingly, Victoria's very good on that."
Victoria has previously spoken about her own food habits on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast, backing up David's claim's. She said at the time, "To most restaurants I'm probably their worst nightmare. I loved some steamed vegetables, some balsamic vinegar and then to season myself.
"I like things to be cooked in a very simple way. I don't like oils or butters or sauces. This is where I sound even more boring in the food department."

However, she also detailed 'comfort food' of choice. "I like whole grain toast with salt on it. It's that carbohydrate that makes you feel comfortable and I love salt."
Meanwhile, David sometimes posts food-based Instagram posts, with his most recent on Tuesday 1 February, Lunar New Year, of him using Gordon Ramsay's kitchen to cook up some sweet and sour Mandarin fish, while wishing his followers a Happy Lunar New Year in Mandarin.
He captioned the video, "Learnt a new fish to celebrate lunar New Year ... Sweet and sour Mandarin Fish ... must say I'm quite proud of how it turned out. Thanks for letting me use your kitchen @gordongram #LunarNewYear."
