Dancing On Ice 'feud' as tensions rise among cast over ‘too good’ skater
Dancing On Ice doesn't return to TV screens until January, but it seems the competition has already begun. New reports claim a 'feud' has erupted behind the scenes, due to one celebrity contestant's impressive skating ability.
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne McCann, 34, is among the famous faces learning to skate on the upcoming series, and it seems she's a natural on the ice rink. Having shared clips from her training sessions on Instagram, Ferne can be seen effortlessly gliding across the rink - leaving her fellow co-stars allegedly "unsettled" as they are certain she'll be a "frontrunner" in the new series.
An insider told The Sun: “Ferne posted a video of herself skating on Instagram and it’s really unsettled a lot of the other cast. They had no idea how good she was and after seeing the footage, it’s pretty clear she is going to be the frontrunner. It’s all got really competitive already and the show doesn’t kick off for two more months."

Mum-of-two Ferne, who found fame on TOWIE before launching her own ITVBe series, has shared glimpses of her training on social media after revealing she's been partnered with pro skater Brendyn Hatfield on Dancing On Ice. She shared a shot of her and Brendyn on the ice together as she happily shared the news with her fans.
"The news is in! I’ve met my Dancing On Ice partner and it is……BRENDYN!" Ferne announced. "While he defo has his work cut out (sorry Brendyn!) we’re super excited to hit the ice and bring the sparkle."
Brendyn, who is in a relationship with S Club star Rachel Stevens, has revealed the 2025 series of Dancing On Ice will be his last, following a five-year stint on the hit ITV show.
He's opened up about skating with reality TV personality Ferne, saying she has a "good mindset" and despite her impressive skills on the ice, has had "no formal training" that he knows of. Brendyn chatted to The Sun while attending the launch of the ice rink at Bettersea Power Station.
Speaking about Ferne, the pro skater said: "Has she skated before? Well, what the celebrities do before we come in as pros, is they train with a coach, at whatever rink they're based in. Then we come in after they've had roughly about 30 hours of basics. Has she ever skated before? I don't think so, no formal training, whatever, for sure. But she's got a good mindset, and focus for it. So I'm really excited."
