Courteney Cox is 'happiest' now in her 50s as she hails the 'confidence of time'
Courteney Cox has insisted she is "happiest" now in her 50s as she opens up about the positives of getting older in Hollywood.
The actress, 58, hailed the "confidence of time" and feeling better equipped from years of experience to "take more chances".
Speaking to Variety magazine, she said: “The place I am in right now is the happiest I’ve ever been.
"There’s a lot of things that are not great about getting older, but there’s a lot of great things and that is being in a place where I love working."
Cox continued: "I feel like I’ve been doing it long enough that I actually know what I’m doing and then I can excel. I can be better. I take more chances.
"There’s just something about the confidence of time, of doing something so long, I probably love it more now than I ever have.”

Despite her regular red carpet appearances and starring in shows such as Friends and Cougar Town, as well as the recent film Scream, she still gets nervous about certain aspects of fame.
Speaking about being awarded her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she said: "Speaking in public is the hardest thing for me.
"It’s why a lot of times I don’t present things because it’s like almost not worth it in my heart rate!”
Earlier this month, she opened up to The Sunday Times about her "crazy" journey with injections in which she admitted trying to stay looking like her character Monica in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

She said: “There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.’ And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years.
"And I didn’t realise that, oh s***, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.”
