Courtney Cox reveals the moment she realised how 'strange' facial injections made her look
Courtney Cox has shared her regret at "doing stuff to my face" as she admitted she "tried to chase" youthfulness for years.
The actress, 57, opened up about the moment she realised how "strange" her face looked after having injections.
She told The Sunday Times' Style magazine: "There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.’ And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years.
"And I didn’t realise that, oh s***, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now."
Cox, who is mother to 17-year-old daughter Coco, added: "Because people would talk about me, I think. But there was a period where I went, ‘I’ve got to stop. That’s just crazy.’”
Elsewhere in the interview, she said she "can't believe" that she will be turning 60 in a matter of years because "time goes so fast".
The Friends star noted that while there's "nothing wrong" with reaching the landmark age, it's still "so hard to even hear or say".
She described herself as now being more "grounded", having "learnt so much in my life".
The actress, who rose to fame in the 1990s playing the iconic role of Monica Geller, has previously spoken about wishing she had never tried to turn back the clock in terms of beauty.
In 2017, she told New Beauty that she had decided to have all her fillers dissolved in order to look more natural.
Expanding on her decision in 2019 to People magazine, she said: "I would say it's a common thing you go through as you age, especially in Hollywood.
"You have to accept getting older, and that’s something that I had a hard time doing. [I tried] to keep up with time in a way that was anything other than maintenance.
"I didn’t realise it until one day I kind of stepped back and went, 'Oh s***. I don’t look like myself.'"
