Katie Price has made no secret of the fact that she longs to become a mother once again. The 46-year-old even recently said, “It’s going to happen one way or another.” It’s already been a long journey for the mum-of-five, who went through a fertility battle supported by her then boyfriend Carl Woods before their split at the end of 2023. Three rounds of IVF treatment were unsuccessful and Katie still dreams of a baby with her new partner, JJ Slater.

While her mission to add to her family continues, her past efforts and the emotional turmoil around having another child
with Carl is set to play out on TV screens next year, in a bombshell documentary called Katie Price : Making Babies, Channel 4
has confirmed. The raw and heartbreaking nature of the fly-on-the-wall doc, which is thought to hit screens in March, is sure to resurrect some painful emotions for Katie and Carl. Katie has admitted she “can’t” watch it back, and the experience is said to be so traumatic for Carl, we’re told he’s not happy about the screening going ahead and is “trying to stop” it.

“Carl doesn’t want it aired – it was filmed when the pair were a couple trying for a baby,” the source claimed. “It would bring back hurtful memories for him and it would open up a can of worms and demons he’s worked hard to get rid of. He’s closed

that chapter with Katie.” Back when former reality star Carl and Katie were happy together, he couldn’t wait to tell the public he wanted to start a family with his then fiancée.

“I would love children of my own,” he said in 2021 on Good Morning Britain. “Before this, I swore blind I would never date a girl with kids and I jumped in with five.”

However, since their bitter break-up, his tune has changed and in an interview last week, he said of his ex, “I don’t think she cares who she has a baby with, as long as she gets a baby. In that situation, it’s not about who – it doesn’t matter.” The programme is set to be an emotional watch, with a source saying the documentary will see Katie “face lots of obstacles and ups and downs along the way”. “The show will shine a light on the struggles women face while trying for a baby in their forties,” the source added.

Another source previously said, “Katie is determined to show the raw and real side of IVF, and how it has been a deeply personal struggle for her.” Katie, who is mum to Harvey, 22, from her relationship with Dwight Yorke, Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, from her marriage to Peter Andre, and Jett, 11, and 10-year-old Bunny from her marriage to Kieran Hayler, recently spoke about her journey and continued desire to add to her family on Olivia Attwood ’s podcast, So Wrong It’s Right.

“You’ll see a programme coming out, I can’t even watch it,” she told Olivia of the new doc. “I’ve asked my sister to watch
it back – my IVF journey – it’s failed and failed. It’s with the ex. People have got to remember if I act young or look younger, your body is still 46 and your eggs get less and they get older and it’s harder.”

When Olivia questioned whether she definitely wants another child, Katie replied, “Or two. It’s going to happen one way or another. I don’t know how, but I’m not giving up.”

Katie and Carl, who were together on and off for three years – and were engaged at one point – had a tumultuous relationship, before finally calling it quits last year. She has since been loved-up with MAFS UK hunk JJ, 32, and a source told us that a baby is still very much on her mind. “She’s desperate for another one,” our source told us. “She’s seen her pregnant sister Sophie going through it again and she wants to go through it herself. She’s said JJ’s a girl daddy, and she would love another girl. And he would be a remarkable father. Coming back from a recent holiday, she’s told friends how excited she is about starting a family with JJ.”

Whatever it takes, Katie is determined to have the child she craves. In her autobiography This Is Me , released earlier this year, the former glamour model revealed she already has a sperm donor ready in the States.

“I am going to have another baby,” she wrote. “There is a clinic that currently has some donor eggs and sperm ready and is waiting
for me to come in and have them implanted. I went through a list of suitable donors and I have chosen sperm from a man who is mixed race from America and although I potentially have one egg that would be viable, I have chosen to have a donor egg too.”
