BBC The One Show viewers were left in disbelief as they discovered Keanu Reeves real age live on air.

During Wednesday’s episode of the BBC hit chat show, the Hollywood star, who shot to fame when he starred in the Bill and Ted franchise, appeared on an iconic red sofa alongside author China Miéville.

The duo have teamed up to work on their new novel, ‘the book of elsewhere’ however it was one moment that left not only fans watching at home but hosts Gabby Logan and Alex Jones speechless.

While discussing his recent milestones that he has celebrated this year, Keanu dropped a major bombshell as he revealed that he has just turned 60.

The actor went on to say: “Well I’ve turned 60 this year.” A shocked Alex turned to the star and said: “Did you? You can not be 60.” Keanu replied: “Yes I am 60 years old.” Alex was gobsmacked as she added: “wow.”

Viewers watching at home wasted no time rushing to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their reaction to the stars youthful appearance.

One viewer wrote: “Keane Reeves is 60? #theoneshow.” Another commented: “Keanu Reeves, one of the good guys. How is he 60?? #TheOneShow.”

A third said: “OMG how can #KeanuReeves look this gorgeous at 60 The man is timeless #TheOneShow.”

One shocked fan questioned: “Wait Keanu 60? He doesn't look like it #TheOneShow.” Another said: “Wow Keanu does not look 60 #TheOneShow.”

Meanwhile one added: “Whenever I feel old, I look at the divine Keanu. We are the same age ('64 babies) and are younger than Pitt, Clooney, Depp, and Cruise. Age is just a number & Keanu and I are really cool despite being 60. #TheOneShow.”

Elsewhere in the show, Keanu reflected on reuniting with his ‘Speed’ co-star Sandra Bullock and re-watching the iconic action film together to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

“It was so nice,” The actor said. “Sandra Bullock and I get along so well and it’s always nice to see her so it was nice to hang out for a little bit.”

Gabby pointed out: “Did you guys discover later that you could have got on better because you had a little crush on each other while on set but you didn’t find out until later on that you fancied each other.”

Keanu replied: “Oh yes. We were very professional.” Everyone burst out laughing as Alex said: “That would have been a nice couple.” Gabby added: “There was great chemistry online anyway.”
