Calling all royal fans, Princess Margaret's former home is up for sale
Royal fanatics can now purchase a piece of history, as the North Wales holiday home Princess Margaret used to share with former husband Lord Snowdon has gone up for sale.
The mansion – now known as Plas Dinas – was once part of the Snowdon family estate and was where the couple spent most weekends during their 18-year marriage.
Now, it could be yours for a surprising £375,000.
After the couple declared their divorce back in 1978, the regal home has since been turned into a nursing home before eventually becoming a hotel in the late 1990s.
The 15-acre pastel-hued residence dates back to the 17th century and boasts a grand total of ten en-suite bedrooms fit for a Queen.
Adding to its charm, a grand piano sits in the living room with chandeliers hanging throughout the regal property.
Nestled in woodland, the home also features a courtyard garden and a separate two-bedroom detached lodge in its impressive grounds.
Interestingly, the property is also still home to several family portraits and original furniture which once belonged to the Armstrong-Jones family.
But there’s a catch.
The £375,000 fee will only grant the new home owner a 23-year lease on the property and they will have to foot a £34,450 bill per annum – a figure sure to test how much you really love the Windsor clan.
